Marketing thinking + real digital work

Web design, SEO and marketing built around what people actually do.

Navethinking is part marketing blog, part portfolio and part independent web studio. I write about why people click, trust, hesitate and act, while helping small businesses and organizations improve the websites those decisions happen on.

Based in New Jersey. WordPress, web design, SEO, content and digital strategy.

What I can help with

Your website should do more than sit there.

I focus on practical improvements that make a site easier to understand, easier to find and easier to use.

Website redesigns

SEO and content improvements

Landing pages and conversion paths

WordPress website work

The idea behind Navethinking

Getting someone’s attention is only the beginning. The part I’m most interested in is what happens next: whether they understand you, trust you and have a reason to move forward.

Website & SEO Services

You probably don’t need a giant marketing agency.

Sometimes you need someone to look at the site you already have, figure out what’s getting in the way and make it better. That’s the kind of work I want Navethinking to provide.

The work behind the thinking.

I like working on websites where design, content and the reason someone should take action all have to work together.

Latest Thinking

Marketing is more interesting when you look at why it works.

Notes, breakdowns and ideas about marketing, brands, attention, trust, consumer behavior and the decisions underneath all of it.

Free Marketing Tools

Tools built around the part people usually skip.

These tools are built around attention, hesitation and action. Use them when you need a better starting point for the message.

01

Title Generator

Generate headline ideas built around curiosity and reasons someone might actually want to click.

02

CTA Generator

Build calls to action that reduce hesitation instead of relying on another generic button telling someone to click.

03

Action Gap Analyzer

Look at where a message may be losing someone between initial interest and the decision to actually act.

About Navethinking

I’m Evan. This is where the strategy and the creative side meet.

I’m a marketing and creative professional based in New Jersey. My work crosses web design, SEO, digital strategy, email, photography, content and analytics.

Navethinking started as a place to write about marketing and human behavior. I still want that to be a big part of it. But as I’ve built more websites and worked more deeply in SEO and digital experiences, it also became a natural place to show that work and eventually help other organizations improve theirs.

Have a website that you know could be better?

If it feels outdated, isn’t getting found in search or just doesn’t explain what you do very well, send it over. I’m interested in taking on smaller website and SEO projects.

FAQ

Questions about Navethinking and website work

Navethinking is still a marketing publication and portfolio, but I’m also opening the door to smaller website and SEO projects.

What is Navethinking?

Navethinking is a marketing website created by Evan Raftes. It combines marketing and consumer-behavior writing, digital marketing tools, portfolio work and website and SEO services.

Does Navethinking offer website design?

Yes. The focus is primarily on redesigning and improving existing websites, along with smaller website builds. That can include page layout, mobile design, content structure, calls to action, WordPress development and the overall experience of using the site.

What kind of SEO work do you offer?

The focus is on practical SEO work for smaller websites. That can include keyword research, on-page SEO, existing-page improvements, content ideas, Search Console analysis and building pages around topics people are actually searching for.

Who are the website services for?

The services are best suited for small businesses, nonprofits, local organizations and individuals who need a better website without hiring a large agency or building an unnecessarily complicated marketing operation.

Can I see examples of your website work?

Yes. Current examples include extensive website and digital work for Hope For Ukraine as well as the Bridgeable Connect website. More work is available on the Navethinking portfolio page.

Is Navethinking still a marketing blog?

Absolutely. The blog remains a major part of the site. Navethinking covers marketing, branding, consumer behavior, attention, trust, digital culture and the reasons people choose to act or not act.
